Your first contact with Mover Service will be with a customer service representative.

Our representative will set an appointment with one of our Relocation Consultants for an “in house estimate” or, if you prefer, an “over the phone” estimate.

We recommend that you set an appointment with one of our Relocation Consultants to come to your house to provide you with the most accurate estimate.


If you choose an over the phone estimate it is important to provide a detailed description of what items are being moved as well as any access issues there might be at either residence (narrow streets, stairs, etc.).

It has been our experience that many individuals seeking an over the phone estimate quite often underestimate the number of their belongings to be moved as well as the time involved.

As a result, the move takes more time than expected and those customers are faced with a bill that is higher than expected.

It is our goal to make sure that your experience with our company is a positive one.


If you choose an In House Estimate with one of our Relocation Consultants it is important to allow enough time for a complete review of what is being moved. We recommend setting aside an hour of your time.

The Relocation Consultant will perform a detailed survey of everything in your home that will be moved and point out items along the way that cannot be moved (canisters of paint, for example) or require special attention (such as a pool table, etc.).

Before the consultant leaves you will receive an estimate of weight and labor costs involved in your relocation as well as advice on how to plan your move efficiently.

Be sure to discuss any questions or concerns you might have regarding your move with your consultant.

On the day of the move the movers will arrive as scheduled.

Please inform the Van Foreman(driver) of any concerns, high value or delicate items you may be moving.

If you cannot be present at the time of loading, you’ll need to arrange for a responsible person to act as your agent in signing both the Bill of Lading and, if applicable, any paperwork for high value insurance items.


Most furniture is wrapped with specially constructed cloth pads or “blankets” to protect them from scratches, dents, dirt, etc.

Even items such as gardening tools are padded to prevent them from scratching or soiling other items in the shipment.

Tightly loaded tiers with heavy articles loaded on the bottom will be constructed inside the van to avoid jarring or shifting while on the road.


The vans themselves, in addition to being quite spacious, are specially designed and equipped to accommodate the safe transportation of the household goods.

Specifically, trailer walls and doors are lined with logistical tracks, enabling shipments to be secured further with heavy nylon traps.


After everything has been loaded in the van, it’s a good idea for you and the van foreman to take one last walk through your house to make sure that nothing has been overlooked.
